Basura is a six-piece Latin punk-ska based out of Fresno, CA. Founded in early ’96 and after some years of sabbatical BASURA rejoined in 2008. BASURA has shared the stage with VOODOO GLOW SKULLS, PANTEON ROCOCO, LOS STRAITJACKETS, LA CASTANEDA, TIJUANA NO, INSPECTOR, RATA BLANCA, CHICO TRUJILLO, BOCAFLOJA, NEBLINA, CHENCHA BERRINCHES, BANG DATA and a bunch of Central Valley bands. They have been part of several festivals including the CATACOMB PARTY, SUMMER SWEAT, FUSE FEST, X-FEST, SALINAS MUSIC & ARTS SUMMIT, APERIRE ARTS FESTIVAL, THE LATIN MUSIC INVASION TOUR and the monthly ART HOP events in Fresno. BASURA has a five-song ep released in 2014! Catchy lyrics, fast paced punk riffs and smooth horn lines are the core of the band. It is encouraged to bring a LUCHADOR mask, wear it during ‘VAMOS A LAS LUCHAS’ and join us in the mosh pit.
